SAIL

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is a central public sector undertaking classified as a Maharatna company under India's Central Public Sector Enterprises. It operates primarily in the steel manufacturing and mining industries within India, especially in the eastern and central regions. SAIL produces iron and steel products through five integrated steel plants and three special steel plants. The company also runs captive iron ore mines to maintain raw material self-sufficiency. Its product portfolio includes a wide range of steel products, with steel supplied for national infrastructure projects in sectors such as rail, defense, and space.
