HINDCOPPER

Hindustan Copper Limited, incorporated in 1967 to take over operations from the National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd., is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. It is the first Indian public sector undertaking and the only vertically integrated copper producing company in the country, with Miniratna Category-I status. The company operates across the entire value chain of copper production, including mining, beneficiation, smelting, refining, and casting to produce saleable copper products, refined copper, and downstream copper items. Its major copper mining assets are located in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra. Hindustan Copper is listed on both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). It operates primarily within the industries of copper production, mining, and metallurgy.
