Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd operates in the fertiliser manufacturing and agricultural inputs industries, primarily producing urea at its three manufacturing plants located in Gadepan, Rajasthan, which together have an annual capacity of approximately 3.4 million metric tonnes. The company markets other fertilisers and agricultural inputs across North, Central, and Western states of India. It also has a joint venture in Morocco for the manufacture of phosphoric acid. Previously, Chambal Fertilisers engaged in a software business, but this was discontinued in FY21 through the sale of assets and transfer of liabilities. The company plays a strategic role in India's food security.
