Starsource Multitrade Ltd. was originally established in 1942 as The Chemo Pharma Laboratories Limited, engaging in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and bulk drugs. Due to increased competition, the company disposed of its pharmaceutical manufacturing business and shifted its focus toward multi-product trading on both retail and wholesale bases. It operates in India as well as international markets, trading a wide variety of goods and commodities. In August 2025, following an open offer and the entry of new management, the company changed its name to Starsource Multitrade Ltd. At an earlier stage, it was also in advanced negotiations to diversify by taking over a sick company. The company continues to operate primarily in the trading industry, having moved away from its initial pharmaceutical focus.
