Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) is an Indian company headquartered in Mangaluru, Karnataka. It was established as a joint venture between the AV Birla Group and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). MRPL operates a complex refinery capable of processing diverse grades of crude oil sourced globally. The company is engaged mainly in refining crude oil and manufacturing petroleum products. It also trades aviation fuels and distributes petroleum products through retail outlets and transport terminals. MRPL operates in the oil refining, petrochemicals, and energy industries within India. It is a subsidiary of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and functions as a Schedule 'A' Miniratna Central Public Sector Enterprise.
