Indraprastha Gas Limited, incorporated in 1998, operates in the city gas distribution and energy sectors. The company is engaged primarily in distributing natural gas within the National Capital Territory of Delhi and surrounding areas, including Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gurugram, Meerut, Shamli, Kanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Karnal, Rewari, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Ajmer, Pali, and Rajasmand. It supplies natural gas for transport, domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors. Indraprastha Gas Limited is a joint venture promoted by GAIL (India) Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi holds a 5% equity stake in the company.
