Since its acquisition by the Government of India in 1960, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd has evolved from a small ship repair yard into a diversified engineering enterprise. The company is noted for being the first shipyard in India to export warships and has delivered 100 warships to the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.
