6 New Stocks Enter NSE F&O from 28 October 2026: Full List and What Traders Should Know

NSE is adding six more stocks to its Futures and Options (F&O) segment from Wednesday, 28 October 2026. The new additions are Data Patterns (India), Karur Vysya Bank (KVB), Syrma SGS Technology, Coromandel International, City Union Bank and Navin Fluorine International. With these additions, traders get futures and options contracts on stocks that were only available in the cash market until now.

The six stocks entering F&O

The stocks are Data Patterns (India) Ltd (defence electronics), Karur Vysya Bank Ltd (private sector bank), Syrma SGS Technology Ltd (electronics manufacturing), Coromandel International Ltd (fertilisers and agrochemicals), City Union Bank Ltd (private sector bank) and Navin Fluorine International Ltd (specialty chemicals). Reports say Coromandel, City Union Bank and Navin Fluorine are subject to meeting the eligibility criteria under the October 2026 computation cycle.

What changes for traders

From 28 October, these stocks can be traded through futures and options contracts, so you can take a view on the stock with leverage, hedge a cash holding, or trade option strategies. Option chains, open interest and implied volatility data will start building up for each of them. Higher participation can also bring better liquidity and tighter spreads over time, but new contracts often start with thin volumes, so check bid-ask spreads before placing orders.

Lot size and strikes

Reports say NSE will inform members of the market lot and the scheme of strikes for the six securities through a separate circular on 27 October 2026. The quantity freeze limits will be part of the contract file applicable for trading on 28 October. Please check the latest NSE circular for the exact lot size of each stock before trading.

How stocks qualify for F&O

NSE selects stocks using criteria such as average daily market capitalisation, average daily traded value, market-wide position limit, quarter-sigma value and average daily deliverable value, along with SEBI approval. Market capitalisation and traded value are computed on the 16th of each month to identify the top 500 securities, while quarter-sigma and deliverable value use a rolling six-month window. Before these additions, about 213 individual stocks traded in NSE F&O.

Things to keep in mind

Stocks that are newly added to F&O often see higher volatility and heavy interest around the debut. Derivatives carry leverage and can lead to losses larger than expected, so start with small positions, define your stop loss, and understand margin requirements before trading. You can follow these new stocks on Tick2Trade charts and option chains once the contracts go live.
